Corvettes at Carlisle 2024
 

Please note that the deadline for registering as a club member for Corvettes at Carlisle is July 10. As of June 18, we have only 28 members registered as ZR-1 Registry participants. This is short of our average annual participation and puts us in jeopardy of not getting the large club tent as a complementary offering.

For those that have not registered and are contemplating attending, please register ASAP. Also, do not forget to click on the "club affiliation" tab when registering and select the ZR1 Net Registry to secure the privilege of parking in the ZR-1/ZR1 club designated area and to help us secure the complementary large tent with chairs and tables. As you may know, there are 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for clubs with best participation. We have won these awards before and look forward to "placing on the podium" again in 2024.

Understood, Bob. We can't make every outing.

Re the numbers, the organizers typically require a minimum of 50 cars to reserve the larger tent that we use (10X30); we pay a small fee for the smaller (10X10) tent that we use for seminars.

In recent times, we've been attracting 60 cars or more as Registry member registrants, so I hope we can reach traditional numbers for 2024. We do have good standing with Corvettes at Carlisle; they bend over backwards to help us, so I expect we'd be accommodated if "we are close" but better to not to have to negotiate if at all possible.

Just checked with Carlisle and I was not registered for the Fun Field. I am now. Make sure you sign up and give them ZR-1 Net Registry as your club.

Today - July 10 - is the last day to register under the ZR-1 Net Registry for Corvettes at Carlisle (Aug 22-24) and be guaranteed a parking spot in the Funfield with fellow club members and near our club tent. As of yesterday, we had 45 members registered.

In recent years, we've had approximately 60 members registered. If you've never been to Corvettes at Carlisle or have not been for some time, I'd encourage you to attend this year. Corvettes at Carlisle never disappoints, especially when we meet as a group.

As of today, we still have 9 single and 2 double rooms available at Boomerangs...see the post for Carlisle hotel!

The pulled pork this year is going to be spicy with some sweetness. The sauce will have Ghost and Habanero peppers infused with pineapple and figs!
