Noisy car leaving MR9
Car started making noise at MR9 (1,000 miles from home).
First thought it was a wheel bearing, then turned into more of a crunching noise. I suspect a clutch issue. Not too long ago I installed a Ram clutch, flywheel and hydraulic throw out bearing. It gave me a huge amount of trouble (but that's another story). I've been leaking a little clutch fluid. This morning I found a big puddle under the car and found the clutch reservoir almost empty. I'm going to start with wheel bearings because they are 33 years old and have 100,000 miles on them. Looking for recommendations for bearings, heard bad stories about Timken. |

Duh, I have a good drive shaft guy local. I'll bring them to him and have him install the best he can.
Thanks for the input. |
