Break.... if Pete has any of these left I suggest you pick them up. I bought the last T-Stat that Marc Haibeck had last year. He may have more if not this is a part you want in your parts store. Trying to find one when you need it can be a challenge.

Please remind me of why I want a 160 thermostat. I think I had one way back in the day from Randy Woods, but I cannot for the life of me remember why.

Craig I only recommend it in warm climates. All it does is advance the cooling process if you have also timed your fans as well. For a modified engine it works well with air fuel, advance timing , higher compression issues that generate more heat. My car is a mini stroker.... and I live in Arizona and Heat is a PITA problem. I resolved this problem with a larger Dewitt's radiator and New Dual, higher Rpm spal fans, and a 160 T-stat. The stat is a "part" of the solution only.

A huge debate for decades..... not going to be solved here but one of the best articles I saw about it was from Summit.

Thank you for the reminder and link. Good info and article. I might eventually do the spal fans like you and others. I do have an upgraded radiator that has been doing well for me so far, but Japan summers are brutal. Thanks again. :cheers:

I wouldn't hesitate Craig as these were custom made. Remember these don't open at 160 degrees... They start to open and fully open at about 170 degrees....

TBH I'm not sure if Pete has em anymore..... :cheers:
