Are Delco Injectors Available?

Hi all,

I've got my 92 in for service and finally getting the fuel injectors replaced. The shop I'm working with naturally wants to use OE Delco injectors.

Are they available? Have a source?

I see Jerry's sells FIC injectors seem popular and other brands are available too.

Thanks,

John

The original AC Delco Multec fuel injectors were NEVER upgraded to be compatible with today's blended fuel.
They WILL fail.
Not IF or MAYBE, just WHEN.

Unless NCRS is more important than reliability PLEASE RETHINK YOUR PLAN.

x3. The whole point of replacing the injectors is the original early ones weren't sufficiently capable today (i.e. ethanol tolerant). Why replace them if you're going with the same ones???

Good advice, all.

While it's nice to see a path to getting the car running correctly again using a local shop, NCRS isn't a priority for me. I'd rather get new injectors that solve the problem long-term.

I haven't found another local shop that can handle the injector work. I was originally considering shipping the car to Haibeck and taking advantage of his expertise and services to get the most out of the car. I'll definitely rethink that option -- his engine refinishing service looks incredible.

Thanks again for the feedback!

Have you tried explaining the dilemma to the shop? Would be curious if they don't see the logic of going with aftermarket injectors, especially from a reputable source like Jerry's.

Met an guy who had his car serviced at the local Chevy dealer and spent $7000 for service on a 90 with 20,000 miles including replacing injectors. 2 years later and not many miles more, he was back for new injectors....cost him $4000! I had my Tahoe serviced by the same Chevy dealer and went to speak to the service manager. Told him how can you sleep at night knowing your putting the screws to this unknowing ZR-1 owner. His answer was, "we are GM, we only use GM parts. Not my problem if they work long term or not". Just poor customer service.

Just the thought of my car getting close to a GM dealership makes me nervous!
