First Corvette: 1993 40th Anniversary ZR-1 #133
 

Yesterday I took delivery of my first Corvette: a 1993 Ruby Red Z. What an absolutely incredible machine!!! Ever since seeing how attainable a ZR-1 was last year I just couldn't shake the thought I could get a dream car from my childhood. I set out looking for a 1993 Z, and found the perfect one: a very original driver quality car in a gorgeous color with 39k miles.

Quick info about me: I am a mechanic/metalworker at a vintage race/classic car shop, and am an alumni of the McPherson College Auto Restoration Technology program. I've owned my Impala for 21 years.

Special thanks and shout out to Steve (viper107) who agreed to offer and show me the car in person. As harrowing a journey as it was during the pandemic I knew I had to jump on this opportunity and flew to St. Louis to see this beast. Steve was nothing other than gracious and honest in showing me the car, letting me test drive it immediately and go over it with a fine toothed comb. We worked out a deal and after arranging transportation I now have my new baby! Everyone talks about how solid a community the Registry is, and I will 100% attest to that.

Welcome ImpalaDave, you couldn't have picked a nicer one. Ruby Red IS my favorite color, even though I don't have one, I got the next closest in mine being the Dark Red Met. And a Ruby Red Z being your first Vette, WOW. Nice. Enjoy it.
