Cosmetically Converting a 90 Into a 91+
No, I?m not thinking of doing it. But I?ve seen it done a few times, and was curious what?s involved. The big difference seems to be the front nose and the rub strips. Was more done also? Are there things I?m missing?

My '90 that I recently bought has had this conversion done, and I love the look! While I did not complete the conversion, i'd be happy to take any pics that you may need or check anything.

Door trim the same for all 91-96 Corvettes but short dogleg trim is ZR-1 specific.

Re: Cosmetically Converting a 90 Into a 91+
The biggest problem I ran into ( am I not a zip tie kind of person) is to mount ( in a correct and factory looking way) the front evap canister and purge solenoid on the new front bumper bar which has a different design not meant for the evap canister in front.

Yes, pics would be great. Especially of the more challenging areas. |
Re: Cosmetically Converting a 90 Into a 91+
So to do it, one would need:
-Front bumper cover and all the assemblies below that. -All new rub strips all the way around - panel behind wheels - dog leg trim - new badges - new wheels (saw blades or A Molds) - custom bracket to hold evaporator canister and purge solenoid. - I?m guessing the back bumper rub strips is ZR-1 unique - paint as needed - some assembly required. Is that about right? |
