My 94 ZR-1 Only Came with Black Top
 

Hey guys, just bought my first ever Corvette and got a 1994 ZR-1 Torch Red, Beige interior. (attached photo). I just registered in the market place for the registry on the main site.

So, to my surprise there was no torch red hard top that came with it. Do any of you have any recommendations on how to get or order one?

The paint code is U 9075

Thanks for any help! Any advice on owning a ZR-1 would be appreciated as well.

I?m over in the FL Panhandle if you have any issues that you can?t resolve. The folks here are good at assisting too.

There?s a rough top on eBay. I have a top but not really a seller.

For those with Beige interior, is the hard targa top on the inside beige as well or another color like grey / black?

Bought a red one on ebay for under $700.00 which I thought was a deal seeing how the other option was $1,700.00 off another website.

The VIN # read 1995 and it is torch red. Hoping the paint matches, think it will be pretty close but may need to have it detailed and painted regardless.

Interior seems to be in ok condition. Read where all had a black interior lining.

Any help on detailing the top will be appreciated.

Inside headliner can be removed (it's attached to the fiberglass with double stick tape) and refinished with black fabric with foam backing and 3M headliner spray adhesive.

If you are painting the top, remove black powder coated trim before taking it to the shop. Black trim can be removed with 2 x 4 wood block 4-6" long and a hammer. Put the block on the edge of the trim and tap it gently outwards.

Ecklers has brand new (aftermarket) ones, in white black and red. I just received the black one for my Z and the paint matches perfectly and it fits well. Comes with new headliner. It was not inexpensive but I figured buying a used one and then having it painted and replacing the headliner was going to put me at a similar price.

I saved about $1,000.00 going with ebay used but will see the cost of detailing it to get it right.

End of the day, if it comes out bad I can get the after market one.
