FX3 shocks

Looks like the new dates are Feb-Mar. Are they ever going to make these again?

Great question. They are stretching out the release for sure

I’ve been waiting since May of last year (2018) for these shocks to be available. Someone had posted a quote from Bilstein HQ that they would not service the OE units with a Delco sticker on them. Aftermarket units only. I emailed them yesterday and got this response today from Michael: “Hello,
We can service the units $160.00ea and about a 10-12 week lead time.

Kind Regards,

I honestly don’t know what to think. Should I continue waiting or attempt to take them up on the offer above ?

I talked to the same guy. Asked him to double check with the tech. Came back and told me the exact same thing. Only caveat was the shaft of the shock had to be in good shape. They do not have replacement shafts currently, I was told. There was no discussion about new production.

I’ve found that if you ask 3 people over there the same question you will get 3 answers.

Re: FX3 shocks

New eta on shocks is mid-late May. Emailed them back about the rebuild service and got this response:

“If they are OEM Bilstein/Delco and leaking around the gears they will need a new piston rod assembly this is an additional $65.00 per unit. We will need to eavl in house to get a better idea of what is leaking.
Lead time is 10-12 weeks as of today
Kind Regards,

Seriously considering having all four piston rods replaced since supposedly they updated the small seal(s) inside the piston rod to remedy the leaking. My front ones are leaking around the adjusters and rears are leaking at the actual shock body, adjusters are clean and dry.

Every time I've called them, they told me they won't touch the Delco Bilsteins. You must be talking to the right person. I also have new ones on backorder and they told me late April.
