Loud popping on take off, screeching when loaded up.
 

Hey y'all, got a loud pop that you can feel through the car when taking off from a stop, also turning under load. Also has a sound like sketching, or rubbing when I load the drive line with anything more than a little throttle. Sounds a lot like a brake pad tattle tale touching the rotor, except it gets louder with more throttle...

With the car in gear and the e-brake off, there is a popping noise when I rock the car back and forth. Got up under it and it sounds like right side u-joit or maybe the differential.

The sketching under load points to a diff going out, but I don't know if a half shaft u-joint will do the same thing.

Anyone had this issue? Help troubleshoot?

The Juan is going to be down for awhile. Going to install new u-joints in the right rear, and a new hub, have had the parts for awhile. Also had another intake backfire, when I pull the upper plenum this time I'm going to replace the lower gaskets, got a vacuum leak there sucking in oil and making me smoke.

Sounds like either your bearing hubs or half shaft u-joints, or both, are well on their way out. While at it also be sure to check out the differential.
