WTB ZF6 Transmission
 

I need to replace the transmission on my high mile Z. Strangely the bearings seem to be going before the synchro’s.

Looking for a good used ZR-1 spec. ZF6 transmission. Black or blue tag. Must be under 60k miles (or rebuilt) Must be in good working order with no synchro or bearing issues. Please PM with a price if you have something. I just need the transmission nothing else.

did you think of having the zf doc rebuild it? he did mine years ago, unbelievable job.

I sent Bill an email Monday requesting a quote to rebuild but have not heard back yet.

I'm not knocking the ZF Doc, he does Great work, but you can buy a new transmission for way less than getting him to rebuild yours.

Don't ask me how I know...

Based on feedback from this thread I have already gotten a sense that might be the case. Still waiting for Bills quote.

There is nothing like a ZF Doc rebuilt transmission. It's just simply a pleasure to drive and shift hard. I wouldn't drive anything else.

Hans, what are you looking to spend?

I have a couple of good working ZF transmissions.
