Flywheel Holding Tool

Curious what everyone is using to hold the flywheel when torquing the bolts?

Wedge a short pry bar in between a cast in web or one of the bell housing dowels and the flywheel ring-gear teeth

Hans,

Should be able to slip the FW onto the dowel pin and start one FW bolt to hold the FW in place. Run the others in with a little red thread lock, then torque all if them in..[ATTACH]6718[ATTACH]6719

Thanks Steve,

I was referring to holding the flywheel steady so it doesn’t rotate with torquing.

Going try this tool tomorrow.

Got it, now I understand your note.. I didn't need one. Engine compression was sufficient to allow me to torque all bolts..
