Could we avoid politics and religion, please?

Friends: there are many places on the web whose reason for being is robust and healthy political debate and discussion. I think the ZR1netregistry best serves its members as a place where we can enjoy our shared love of the ZR-1 and celebrate a remarkable car in a spirit of comity and community.

While there are many thoughtful and reasoned posts, others assign profoundly uncharitable motives to others and proceed from hostility to those who hold contrary positions to their own.

With respect to this fine community, none of us is going to change the other's mind when it comes to our political or religious beliefs and I can't see how debating these topics enhances the experience of coming here to enjoy our cars. I'd encourage us to direct our energies on the forums in ways that contribute to our affection for and knowledge of our Corvettes. :handshak:

It's been said before, don't read the posts you don't like.
XFIRE51 and I have very different political views, but I like to hope we are still friends.
We've hung together, conversed together, and dined together.
But boy do we think differently about politics. - Steve

Agreed. If Colin CANCER Kaepernick can voice his opinion by disgracing this great country then why can't I voice my opinion that I disagree and condemn his hateful actions? I'm a Veteran as is my father and now son who is stationed in Latin America. I gave of my life to serve and for some of you Liberals here who feel the need to defend American Terrorists then well shame on you!

Screw all the professional athletes who are paid millions to protest this great country. I say to hell with them!

Apperently we can't.

This has been brought up before and It'll come Up again. I have my own feelings on this but my opinion doesn't really matter.

I'm so disappointed. You closed my Colin CANCER Kaepernick topic in essence censoring myself and others. Are you happy now Kevin? I had no idea there was so many American haters in this group. Disappointed is not even the word I'd like to use. God bless America.

The football thing seems easy to me. Don't go, don't buy a ticket, don't support them.
Think his unamerican nonsence will stop pretty quick when the stadiums are empty?

Absolutely, Steve. You hit the nail right on the head. The other thing is if we get all worked up about these things it only encourages more in the same vein don't ya think.
