Spark removal

Wanting to change the spark plugs in 1990 #0106. I have no idea when or if they have been changed and if anti seize was used. It has 31k on it. Should motor be warm or cold? Any tips or suggestions would be great....

No "MacGyver Engineering"?

Nah.

All you need is the following tools:

⅜-drive, ⅝-in plug socket with integral u-joint
one-inch extension
⅜-drive u-joint
long ⅜-drive extension.

Put all those together and you can easily remove plugs from #6 and #8 cylinders.

When I needed to change plugs, I used that tool stack for the entire 20 years I owned Barney.

I used a regular socked and two swivels maybe a little harder but it worked.

Hello, I bought my ZR1 in 2005. I change my Spark plugs 2006.
It was very easy, change them cold.

Exactly!

From there one graduates to removing those #%@@$^^ radiator hose spring clamps (w/o having purchased a special tool). OR, removing / reinstalling the C-beam nuts (especially if you have fat fingers), OR the real PIA - removing the stock exhaust heat shields, in preparation to install headers... Any one of these make you say "bad words" you'd rather nobody else might hear!:jawdrop:
