i bought a set of 2 rear A molds...

on the rear they are marked on the inside of each spoke

from google, i found that a japanese co made the wheels for GM. then later continued to sell them (?) in the aftermarket

what are these wheels made of ? aluminum... they seems awfully light. mine have some weird finish on them.

ill try uploading pics later. keeps on failing

You have OE/GM wheels and the company DID NOT continue any manufacture for the "after-market". The wheels are pressure cast and are lighter than similar production that was just a conventional casting.

When comparing my two sets of A-molds, I noticed a slightly different finish on one set. I think they are final stage of pre-production. Three wheels had been scribed "primer", and one "no primer". You have to look very closely to notice the differences in the finish. The other set has a nice protective layer of clear coat, that unfortunately has some small areas of under coat corrosion. Also, the inside barrel area is pitted so that the consistency of the fine machining lines are mottled. I'm considering having this set painted a different color than oem. The oem is too flat, and would benefit from a pearlescent or metallic sparkle.

Both these sets compared to a NOS boxed set revealed some slight differences in the finish due to usage and cleaning.
Glad to see you acquired OEM A-molds, they are spectacularly lightweight, strong, and have a timeless design. I de-sticker mine, remove pressure sensors, clean & file blemishes, Road Force speed balance using inside weights, seal & wax.

I use Clorox wipes on mold!
