Comments on Cars for Sale
I see a lot of unsolicited comments on vehicle values, I don't think we are doing any favors to people trying to sell their vehicle telling them they are too high, etc. If you have commentary, maybe a PM is more appropriate vs broadcasting it on the post...the cars are worth what someone is willing to pay for them; if someone wants 20, 30, or 40K they can do that...but if you are not an interested buyer maybe there are better ways to express your thoughts on value.
PS: Not referring to my sale ad...just others I have seen. |

I agree, all those comments do is drive down the price.

I agree with Lee. Unless the seller specifically asks for opinions, I think it's counterproductive to the Sellers effort & other owners as well.

I agree with you that we need to refrain from personal valuation judgements. I do believe most ZR-1's are undervalued. I would look to Hagerty valuations to make a decision on pricing and not on gut instincts.

Agree 100% . On many forums I am on any comments like that are removed and most people are fully aware that peoples for sale threads are not where comments are allowed. A car is worth what someone will pay. Being in some c4 facebook groups its one of the most annoying things to me to see people with such strong opinions and feelings about value. Those people just don't understand the nature of the market.

Very well stated

totally agree with Lee. It's bad enough for whatever reason that the owner is selling but when others try to force the price down it doesnt help. I will not comment on any sales price questionnaire anymore myself.
