New Secondary Port Throttle Vacuum System
New Secondary Port Throttle Vacuum System.
Installed Jerry's New Secondary Port Throttle Vacuum System for 93'-95' on a 95'. This is an absolute Must Do if you Really are serious about reconditioning the Secondary Port Vacuum System as ALL the original Rubber Connectors are Hard and Deteriorated. With Ignition Switch ON The Vacuum Pump comes on for 3 seconds and stays off "forever" unless you activate the Secondaries (Grounding the Pink with Black Stripe Wire on ECM). Also made a Filter for the Secondary Port Vacuum Solenoid (Filter Required on 95'). http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/l...81c7b85e87.jpg http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/l...509fc7f04d.jpg 1995 LT5 SPECIFIC TOP END REBUILD TRICKS A 1995 Top End was rebuilt and best tricks linked here Post 230 - 1995 LT5 SPECIFIC TOP END REBUILD TRICKS Post 231 - Clean Up of Valley and Removal Of Crankcase Cover (gasket replaced) Post 232 - Installation of Rebuilt Starter and New Alternator Post 233 - Battery Disconnect Switch and Installation of Coils Post 234 - Installation of New Secondary Port Vacuum System hoses Post 235 - Installation of Reconditioned Injectors with New "O" Rings Post 236 - Installation/Relocation of Plug Wires and New Spark Plugs Post 237 - Blocking TB Coolant Post 238 - Reconditioning and Installation of Plenum with SS Allen Head Bolts Post 239 - Addition of Billet Aluminum Power Steering, Water Pump, Belt Tensioner Pulleys Post 240 - Reconditioned 1995 Engine with New Fluids all around including Differential Drain Installed |
Re: New Secondary Port Throttle Vacuum System
Did he include a better check valve? I have replaced 2 of those check valves in the time I have owned the car.
Does he have anything for the early cars yet? Also could silicone hosing but used in place of this stuff? I know on my old 944 Turbo I used silicone tubing and it worked great and never slipped off plus was resistant to oil, and extreme temps. |

Jerry does not have the complete Secondary Port Throttle Vacuum System for 90'-92'. Replacing the Check Valve is a 30 minute job if you have the TB Coolant Blocked at the Injector Housing :p |
Re: New Secondary Port Throttle Vacuum System
If he didn't I'm sure he will get it. Jerry has everything

Re: New Secondary Port Throttle Vacuum System
Has anyone tried using silicone hosing instead of the stock plastic/rubber stuff?
