Very, very, very close call up here. It hit within 1/4 mile from my house. It was very loud. A mile wide and stayed on the ground for 3-4 miles. Over 100 homes completely demolished. 500 damaged. Very fortunate. While I haven't been able to reach Richard I know his house was not in the path. Thanks for checking in on us.

Got an email from Richard - he's OK - one funnel came within a mile of his house and demolished a house belonging to a friend.

Good to hear you are alright. Sounds like it's gonna be rough going for many in the area. Experienced a few during high school in Oklahoma.

I'm sure you did if you're from OK. This was my closest experience. Here's an idea about how close it came. The blue X is my house and there you can see the path of the storm. It was almost a mile wide and stayed on the ground for 4-5 miles.

All of the deaths from Garland your hearing about is where it crossed I-30 at the bottom of the pic. That's a small mix master at 190 and I-30 and it was blowing cars off of the top bridge which is about 80 feet high.

Massive destruction here in Rowlett. I can't believe there were no deaths.

I appreciate you guys checking in on us. It means a lot.
