Upcoming vacation.
My wife and I will be going to Munich Germany "Baveria" for Oktoberfest this year. It's going to be a blast.

I love my 5 series still and can't wait to see where it was manufactured. From what I've seen it is state of the art and looks incredible. http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...psvogtvq7e.jpg http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...psh1zw9tog.jpg http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...pshjrdiwkt.jpg http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...pscwhonvqa.jpg  Literally. |

Re: Upcoming vacation.
BMW factory is a great facility to see, been there several times over the last 30 years. I live about 45 min from BMW near Augsburg. I hope you have several days put a side for Munich there is a lot to see and do. Try to visit the Deutsche Museum very neat.

Re: Upcoming vacation.
I think your correct about Engineering. My Grandfater graduated from Univerity of Heidelberg with ME, my Father ME from Hopkins, I have a EE from Hopkins and both of my kids have science degrees..
If your there the first week of Wiesn, make sure you go to both parades (Unzug) Saturday and Sunday. A good place to watch it is on Maximillian Strasse, by the Vier Kampenski Hotel. They even give you free food if stay in front of Hotel. If you need any information just let me know. My first Octoberfest was in 1963, been to about 28. The big toy museum is in Nuremberg, I go there a lot bcause I collect Märklin trains. Nelson http://www.oktoberfest.de/en/ http://www.dw.de/top-stories/visit-germany/s-7550 |
