Injectors

What brand of injectors are the favorite here? I'm curious because I plan on changing my injectors in my 95Z since I have the plenum and IH off(again).

Re: Injectors

I bought new stainless steel injectors from FIC (fuel injector connection) and that was a year ago. No issues so far. Be sure and test them off the car before installation even if new as you want to make sure they pulse ok and don't leak. There are other guys on here that have bought Accel, RC, Bosch Delphi etc. Maybe they can chime in.

Well, the Z's from 03 on had the alcohol comparable onjectors. So, is there some reason you feel the need to change them? M just axin'!

This. Unless you have a bad injector, why waste the money?

I'm not so sure about that.

Although all the injectors will satisfy the requirement for fueling, they also all have different electrical characteristics. Don't be surprised if the motor doesn't run the same way it did w properly functioning stock injectors. Idle and low speed performance will be affected the most.

Re: Injectors

I don't know if any is bad. I should of done current ramp test before I removed them but I wasn't planning to replace them until I am doing all the work. I can check resistance since they are off then I can send them out and get it flow tested. If they are okay, then I would have to reinstall and still need to perform the current ramping test. They might still fail that test. Although I did perform secondary ignition test prior to teardown and I did not see any anomalies in the waveform and not even a slight misfire. However that was only on primary injectors. I was talking to a local shop to do a flow test and I was quoted I think $12 per injector. That's $192 bucks, 33% of new set of 16 injectors.
