DMF; serviceable?
I have left from my automatic conversion my DMF.
Is it a serviceable unit? I'm about 99% sure it had broken springs, from lugging too low RPM's when I bought it - supposedly a common problem... Is it trash, or list-able, on eBay? It had about 31.6k on it when the conversion was done..................................... |

Re: DMF; serviceable?
Mine knocks in one direction slightly. It only acts up when there is a misfire and sometimes when the engine turns off, it knocks once. I was able to find a much better used one which I'm saving for later. The spring that damps the accelerating direction is still good so I'm gonna run it for the duration of this clutch.

Re: DMF; serviceable?
I think I read that the springs are supposed to absorb vibration at low rpm's.
I had to set torque convertor lockup over 45 for that vibration. Any lower, and the whole car would shake, even at speed. |
