I have never heard of a "spare Cam Cover" as I think the Heads are Matched to each Cam Cover.......Just saying. I think it has to do with the way the Cam Journal Bearings are Machined.

I am asking if anyone has cover #3337 many are used as wall décor, etc...

If not, I will buy a spare and have it machined....its been done and worked....technology has come along way since 1990

Are these "spare Cam Covers" Bearing Surfaces filled in and then re-machined (machined when installed on the Heads)?

I have the bottom to 3337...looking for the top......no different than with a crank and choosing bearings clearance are checked and adjustments are made, that might include welding. Cam bearing surfaces are pretty forgiving if you search it....you simply need to know the tolerances...I am not reinventing the wheel, this is also done on some European exotics

I am sure it is possible and have seen Cam Covers damaged by Timing Chains letting go but just was interested in what all has to be done and how it is done (sounds like the word "simply" might not apply) :handshak:
