Dash Lights
 

I have an early 94 Z, # 84. All the articles read say that the dash lights starting this year were white during the day turning orange at night. Mine are orange all the time. Is there a way of switching them back and forth, or just a later changeover situation?

The white refered to the 'white lettering' on the black buttons in MY 94-96 C4s. the orange 'glow' only occurs when the driving lights or headlights are on. This was the change.

MY 90s-93s used grey buttons with orange lettering with the exception of the 93 model that used black buttons with orange lettering.

The white you are refering too refers to the lettering only. Make sense?

90-91 had the grey buttons with a darker grey backing ( mostly, as the cluster backing was black)

92-93 went to the black buttons black backing

all above had the orange-ish lettering

94-96 as stated was white lettering on black

Forgot 92 had the black buttons as well. Could not remember the "split" year
