Targa Top Trim Piece

I have a 1990 ZR1, bought it two months ago with 22,000 on the clock. Today for the first time I removed the top, and found a small trim piece missing from the top.

Where the two bolts are that hold the rear of the top to the car there are two plastic pieces that cover up the hardware that holds the brackets to the the top. The bolts go through a gap in the plastic pieces, apparently these are just aesthetic as all they do is cover the hardware.

Anyway, I'm going to attach a picture since I'm probably confusing everyone, I'm confused and I know what I'm trying to write. As you can see in the picture this piece is present on the left of the picture but the one on the right is missing, all that's left is some 2-sided tape that held it on. I've searched around but I can't seem to find what this part is or if it's available anywhere. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

John

They are called roof pads. I don't believe you can find new ones. I found a couple through a used corvette parts dealer years ago.

Judging by that moniker there, you're an engineer?

Pretty cool having a driving job that you don't even have to hold the handlebars?

Those are "head bumps" I bought some not too long ago. Corvette Central? Not sure if I'd replace them now, or just remove them. I hear rumors you'll appretiate them if you wear a helmet.

Thanks for the information so far. Corvette Central has the side ones but the ones on the back aren't on their site. I'll call on monday.

CSX isn't from the railroad, it stands for Carroll Shelby eXport, how AC started all US bound VINs on Cobras. My screen name is a VIN from one of my 427 Cobras.
