Why is a 3.82" stroke somewhat common?

Just curious, as I just bought a 385. Is/was there some type of sanctioning that made this cube a standard? Thanks. Tim

it's a good stroke to create an optimum bore/stroke and rod angle on the LT5

marc haibeck has an excellent presentation on his website

congrats on the 385. I need to do the math someday on the 390, it has just a hair more stroke, or perhaps a slightly bigger liner

Graham, u out there? what the bore/stroke used on the 390 LSV?
