My manifold was signed by Dave McLellan. Does anyone know how to preserve this?

Re: 1990 ZR1 Manifold Signature
I was thinking of clear coating it but was uncertain if that is the best way. I was hoping someone would know the very best way aside from removing it. Thank you all for your comments.

If I come to the May get to gather at NCM, what is the chance of getting a signature like that. Would be willing to pay $$$.

Re: 1990 ZR1 Manifold Signature
I have found out that rustolium clear, the type where the label states it dries in 24 hrs, works great with little to no prep required, although it will leave a glossy finish. It also works great on powdercoated parts like the master cylinder and plastic parts like the power steering reservoir and air intake tube and air filter housing. Also did my cam covers because I did not want to remove them for painting and it seems to hold up to the heat and dirt just fine.

If it was done in magic marker, clear coat will blur it.
