Cruise control not working
New to registry I just purchased a 1990 zr1 and the cruise control is not working .Where do I start ?

There is a large diaphragm above the battery.
Check the vacuum hose that runs to it. It gets brittle being just above the battery and can develop a leak. If that seems ok, with the car idling pull in on the diaphragm. The car should rev. From there if all is ok then you need to get a code reader or scanner and read the error codes out and tell us what they are. Places like Autozone will do it free. Else we can point you at a procedure that you can read them out on the dash by shorting to pins together. Welcome to the group. Be patient. There are many things to learn if you are willing. |

also verify the vacuum ball at the left front by the headlight is connected

There is also a cruise fuse in the main fuse block. 3 amp.
