Spare tire markings
Dave P.(whom some of you know)at the syty nationals, ask me how my spare tire was marked. He said that the zr-1's were marked in yellow crayon zr-1 on the front of the tire. However he saw an early 90 marked koh (king of the hill). So I checked mine which is an early 90,#361 and sure enough it was marked 28 koh.I thought it might be interesting to know how many were marked that way and what #'s they were.He told me that 28 was probably the work order #.The other one found was in the 350# sequence.

Re: Spare tire markings
Just took mine off my 94 last week. It was marked 6-ZR-1. Might have been yellow, don't remember right now.

Re: Spare tire markings
I know this is an older thread, but does anyone have a picture of the markings on the spare to show where they are and what they look like? --Bob

Re: Spare tire markings
I have pics, but unfortunately no way to show you. It's marked on the outside face of the sidewall. It would either be a #-ZR-1 or #-KOH. So far the KOH seem to be in the #300's.BTW,it would be in yellow. It could also be marked up under the drivers side rear fender well.

Here are the NCRS judging pages. They indicate yellow markings also.http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/...ps22d3dddd.jpghttp://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/...pse5826170.jpg

Re: Spare tire markings
Thanks for the info. I checked mine and can find no yellow markings on the spare. Either they were never there or someone has cleaned them off in the past. --Bob

Re: Spare tire markings
Checked my 94 spare and it had the sign of the Z marked on it.
