Someone correct me, but if I’m not mistaken they can take the championship by placing 4th or better in this race while while only actually winning one of the races this season.

Personally, I'm cheering for the #31 Action Express team. Not long after I started racing (often at Lime Rock Park), Eric Curran's dad brought his young son out to race his (ITB?) Volvo, and he was fast! Great guy and it's been fun to watch him do well through the years (often in Corvettes).

Well, that was a very entertaining Petit LeMans finish. After racing 9 hours and 50 minutes, you still had no idea who would win the race or the championship, in all the classes.

Did you see what happened when Garcia left the pits in the Corvette (at the last pit stop of the race)? Just wow.

Yeah, he almost cost them the championship! Afterwards he was greatful that the #4 car put on the pressure and apologetic for the mistake se made.

Yeah, you could tell he felt bad (and relief!).

And how about JPM crashing out on his own? Certainly wouldn't expect that from him. Maybe something on the car broke.

Fantastic to see Team Corvette rack up manuf and drivers titles again this year. I was lucky enough to take in the Mosport race in Canada which was also a hard-fought contest with cars #3 and #4 on the podium. I Gotta take in more than one of these races in '19 - great racing.

I just bought my Indy Car tickets for the 2019 Detroit Belle Isle race in June and awaiting ticket availability for Laguna Seca in September. I note that they have the "Corvette Corral" option for the Indy Car race at Laguna; if you buy that option with the tickets, you get to take your Vette for laps (albeit touring laps) on the track. Driving the corkscrew is on my bucket list, so I hope to fulfill that next fall. Perhaps we could make it a group event in California.
