I really dig animals. I had to put one of my 2 dogs down in March now I'm home ( from working ) and I may have to have the other put down . Its really going to hurt,, He's been my best friend and body guard for 12 years..

Like losing a member of the family, sorry to hear it. Will you be getting a new pup down the road?

Takes years to get over it really. I've had back to back Siberian Huskies. First one for 15yrs second one for 18yrs.
Both incredible friends and sucks to be there when they go.
The only real down side to having "man's best friend".
Go rescue one from the pound.

Yea its really going to hurt. I guess the timing is meant to be. I'm home from working in the Mid east, on a medical - first time I've ever needed any medical attention( 49 years ). and at the same time my boy isn't doing well. Its a hard toss , I don't think he'll make another 1-2 months and I have to get back to work. Do I take him ?( which will kill me) or have my girlfriend take him once I'm gone ? and when I leave and tell him goodby it will be the last time I see him...

Sometimes they are really asking you to help them. Mine was suffering so terribly and being selfish as I was I forced him to stick around. Once I realized that .............it was easier to make the decision. I just couldn't look the attendants in the eye when I took him in.
Seems to get harder to do the older I get.
I did it myself because i figured I owed that to him.

I guess I'm one of those screwed up people . I just cant harm an animal. I'd have NO PROBLEM putting a bullet in some POS, Crackhead , thief, idiot etc , But when it comes to an animal and especially a pet I just cant do it. When i take him in to have it done , they'll have to carry me out or put me to sleep with'em..

Putting down my dog was a extremely difficult thing to do.

We have 3 dog's now , 2 rescues being an Old English Bulldog and a American Bulldog (pit). The rescues came with they're problems. But both are good boy's now. There is a special reward one get's for rescuing a dog. It's also like the dog's know it too.

Both are handsome and well behaved. Nothing like they're dad.

The American is one of the sweetest and well behaved dog's I have come across. I guess it's because he was abused so badly.
