Who's the new admin?
As a matter of fact it would be nice to know who all the admins and mods are and what they do. Take care of specific areas or just a free for all. Curious.

Questions of this nature belong in this section of the forum, as do other recent ones you have posted such as threads/posts being edited/locked/deleted.

John the new admin is Dave Kelly. Dave is helping us try to integrate all the membership databases as they are all separate and updated manually, so he needed forum admin rights in order to do this.

Meaning there is a database of forum members, Registry members, store members and Listserv members. We are trying to combine them into one so that we can easily update these various levels of membership.

We also have membership databases in Access and in Excel separate from the ones listed above. I has amazed me that George Jones, the membership director has waded through that mess all these years.

The other admins as I know them are Z Factor, QB93Z, Goldcylon, and Mom. I believe that is all.

Okay, now, I see what you are talking about...ZR1admin...new member. I don't know who that is...

Hmmm, I thought Dave K was already an Admin. He has two usernames now?

Dave K was the newest admin I knew about. I see what you are talking about now. zr1admin. I will find out.

No need to apologize John, just an FYI for the future.

As to the mystery, it is really simple. Dave Bright(aka mom) used that long running ID in the past, and just deactivated it from his profile. He is still present on the forum and can be reached via zr1mom. Though I am not sure yet, presumably during the change it was reactivated as a new ID.

All the mods/admins are using their regular ID's which is probably best so that forum members know whom they are interacting with.

The zr1admin account is used as the overall administrator account for the forum as a whole. It is really meant to be used just in that context and not for general moderation purposes, however in some circumstances it needs to be used that way. The other moderator and admin accounts have various levels of restrictions that may make it necessary to use the full admin account at times.
