Lee, mine were on very tight as well. I just used a pipe on the end of my wrench. I don't think it's likely that you'd crack the housing while loosening them (only if overtightening, would that be a risk).

Are they reverse threaded?, I actually was lifting the motor with a 3 ft bar.....nothing..anyone know what size these are?????

Re: Oil Cooler Hose; male connector to housing
No, not reverse threaded, standard lefty-loosey thread :). No idea what size the thread is, sorry. It is a tapered thread, but I don't know what size.

well the wrench size is 1 1/8 so the thread must be smaller than that.

All I remember is I bought 4 wrenches for the job 1 inch 1-1/8 and 1-1/4 and 1-1/2. I used three of them all lol |
Re: Oil Cooler Hose; male connector to housing
They are a std MNPT, 3/4' I think, but would have to verify in the morning.
Why are you removing them? http://jerrysgaskets.com/store2/root...roducts_id=272 |
Re: Oil Cooler Hose; male connector to housing
Was going to put them on the new motor, I did not have them on my spare oil housing
