Alternator going South???
My 90 seems to have the voltage charge run lower than normal after the engine compartment gets up to temperature. It runs about midway on the gauge, which looks to me like about 12 volts. When the engine is cold, and I first start up, it seems to run closer to 16 volts for awhile. When the gauge reads lower, the blinkers work slowly (especially at night with headlights). Does this mean I am looking at an alternator change soon?

Re: Alternator going South???
I would say it could be the alternator but I would have the charging system tested. This way the alternator, starter & battery get checked. It could be that the battery is having issues also or even if the grounds are loose or maybe dirty.
I would do the system analyzer first. JMHO. Tom |

Re: Alternator going South???
Thanks guys. Good idea. I did change batteries about 2 months ago. Maybe my ground is not anchored well. Will check that and have a system check done and see where that takes me.
