project inquiries
Gentlemen,
1. Will C-5 calipers bolt on to my 95? Is it worth the time & expense for the cosmetics & improvement ? 2. Any other easy way to lower front (hear wedges are difficult) 3. Ready for shocks as car has 70k miles on originals? If so is there a favorite substitute ? Any sense in coil overs to acheive both lower & new shocks? Thanks for advice as always!! |
Re: project inquiries
The C5 calipers wont bolt on. They need an adapter and a new rotor to work. Several companies have them available. I like the look of it much better and it is a better caliper. Sorry, cant help with questions 2 and 3.

Re: project inquiries
C5 brakes offer around 30% increase on stopping power due to increased brake pad area and leverage. You do need the adapters as 65ZR1 said though, these can be hard to find sometimes.
Vette Brakes and Products do 2 kits (that include the adapters) that might be of interest: Front Only Kit Front + Rear Kit Dave |

3) I would buy or rebuild your shocks and do coilovers.. then the adjusments are easier to raise/lower the car.. I am 1/2 way done on mine ( need to do the rears still) |
Re: project inquiries
only way to lower the front is to pull that spring and cut off the rubber pads and put on the smaller pads, its a job Ill tell you that.
