planing a Corvette trip to USA September 2010
 

Hallo i am from Austria

and a big Corvette Enthusiast

i own a 1992 Corvette ZR1 with 10 Tmils

i plan a trip to USA with 3 other guys Corvette owners

it is auer 40 Birthday present

from 1 of September to 21 of September

to visit the Fun Fest and hope to meet some ZR1 guys

1.of September we arrive in Chicago
maybe we go to Marc Hailbeck

2 of September we go to Corvette Centeral and the WMC


3.of September we come to Larry to Detroit when it is possible and you have time for use
we visit Prett Miller racing and the Performance Center


4 of September we stay also at Detroit place we will find somthing for use i think

5 of September we want to go to Indianapolis Drag Racing

6. and 7 Indianapolis

also ther is the fall Meeting in Ohio did you think it is a good Idea

than we think to go to Memphis Nasevhill and back to Cinncinatti

to a good old Friend of me 15 of September we want to go to the

Baseball game from the Cincinnati Red

16. To Corvette Museum

17.and 18 we go to Mid America

19 we go to Chicago

and want too visit the city and 21 we must go back
what do you think ?

how manny guys from the ZR1 net are at the Fun Fest ?
maybe we have the chance to meet some ZR1 guys

Hello Jochen, glad to see you posting on the forum. :handshak:

I'd say that if you have been to America before then you trip sounds great. However if this is going to be your first and/or possibly your only trip here, you may want to consider dividing your time a little bit more to see other parts of the country. Of course I am partial to South Florida, but there are some great places to visit in California and other states.
When visiting the Corvette Museum make sure to let them know in advance that a group of Corvette enthusiasts are coming from Europe, and maybe they can set something special up for your visit.
Regardless, you should have a great time based on some of the things you are planning to do.

BTW - Your English is fine, and much better than most of us could do trying to write in Austrian.

Thanks a lot yes it is auer secound trip to USA
we want to come the first time at 11.09.2001
we was in the air 2 houers bevor landing in Chicago when the Airoplans crash in the Twin Thowers and we must lading in Moncton Canda
and stay ther for 3 Days at a verry nice Family Ron and Barb Landry
Barb and Ron was with use at 10 o clock in the night at the Chevy Dealer
Mc Dounalds in Moncton it was a verry nice idea from Barb and Ron
so we see some Corvettes at the Dealer and get a visit at the dealer area
and then we must go back to Austria because the Air area was closed
so we dont see anithing of auer first trip so we start again this Year
and hope to see all what wwe want and meet manny Corvette people
in Chicago we are at the 1 of September at nearly 12.00 o clock
lunch time but not sure maybe the change the Time for the flight
but it will be verry nice to meet you in Chicago
and the last days we are in Chicago 19/20/21 than we must go back
to Austria
please let me know what is a world famous FBI Pizza nights

How exciting! Looking forward to meeting you too!

The FBI gang (Fast Boyz of Illinoiz:mrgreen:) I'm sure would like very much to get together for some kind of pizza night or barbeque. Also, if the Crown Point Corvette Club is going to do another Corvette Challenge drag race event, I'm sure the FBI and other ZR-1s will be there to compete for the "traveling trophy".

You forgot to add Hawaii to your list..........even though many in the mainland forget or don't recognize it, we are in the USA too. :blahblah:

but i am not sure this time if the time we are landing in Chicago

So Guys
we are comming at 1 Of September at 12,40 at the Chicago O Hare Airport
and then we take the Car we have rent sorry no Corvette only a Upplander and go to the Hotel Country Inn & Suites O Hare
so noramly when oll is ok we want to go to Marc Haibeck and visit some ?
and buy a cell phone
and at the morning 2 of September we start to Corvette Centeral fix

(Jochen, might be hard to get the WMC down to Corvette Central mid week as it is a long drive and work day for most. Will keep watching this and see what we can do to catch up with you on your visit. Were you planning to head North towards Grand Rapids later after Corvette Central? If you let me know where you plan on staying on the 2nd we can get you some Hotel info. )

and 3 and 4 of September we go to Detroit area

to visit with Lary the building center of the Z06 and ZR1 Engine

and mybe the Pro Team Corvette we will see

5 of September we want to go to th Drag Racing in Indianapolis

6 of September we will meet Mike
then we want to go to Memphis Nashville

10 of September we want to go to the Four Rivers Corvette Club Meeting
11 of September all so and in the aveternoon we will go to Cincinnati
to an old Friend of me
12 of September we go to the Cincinnat Red Baseball game
13 we go to Bowlin Green Museum and the Production center
and 17/ 18/ 19 we stay in Effingham in the Rodeway Inn Effingham

19 in the afeternoon we want to go to Chicago and stay the last days ther
to 22 of September 16,20 we have auer flight back
so this is my lastest informatinon i can tell you
i am verry glade to meet you and it is pretty cool to have Corvette friend like you
so hope to meet you all
