I wouldn't with my ZR-1 but if I had DD I'd think about it. |
Re: Anyone do this?
That is a cool idea.If I were in the area, had something cool other than my Z I would do this for the kid, providing the kid wasnt a moron.

Re: Anyone do this?
Not for $250 what you going to do when he tears up the syncros :thumbsdo:
Not even a DD I wouldn't let some kid do that I know how I was when I was 17 years old I would have beat the **** out of a car like that. |
Re: Anyone do this?
The whole idea of a kid in high school driving a Corvette seems over the top.
Heck, now you see kids in college driving new Z06's and you know they don't have a cup to piss in. |
Re: Anyone do this?
Not to mention many insurance contracts excludes coverage if you are renting your vehicle out....your premium is based on you driving it...not on who you rent it too. Fun idea but problem waiting to happen.

Re: Anyone do this?
I am not sure about that area, but most major cities have exotic car rentals. In S. Fl you can rent just about anything you can think of if you are willing to pay the price.
As to Hertz not having a Corvette on that day, I suspect it is related to his sons age rather than not having one available. Needless to say there is no way I'd allow my ZR-1 or any other car I owned to be rented out to a total stranger who was 17. [-X |
Re: Anyone do this?
This is what a 17 year old will do to a nice 1990 Corvette :drunken_s
The instrument panel is moved to the right 6 inches and the Corvette is a total loss except for the engine and automatic transmission. http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/l...der-door-1.jpg |
Re: Anyone do this?
A 17 year old and a ZR-1 is a very bad idea.
