What is the last four digits of your VIN. I believe the driver side mat changed in early 1990 production.

I believe there is evidence the driver side mat changed early in the 1990 model year. Not only did the part # change but, the heel pad disappeared and the entire front of the mat was carpet.

I'm still researching and, it should be noted, the folks that wrote the 1990-1991 NCRS TIM&JG are very knowledgeable. In my new and limited research, 1990 #691 had a heel pad and 1990 #797 is all carpet, no heel pad.

Again, I've just started my research so, it has a long way to go with much needed validation.

Great info, guys. I wonder why they got rid of the heel pad? I can?t imagine it would wear better without it.

What is the part # on the back of your driver mat? Is it, as far as you know, born with 2282?

GB 4 & 5, red? Your's says GB3?

Got the car 17 years ago with 3512 miles on it, so I'm sure they're original.
They're "as new", I've never used them.
FWIW: found 5/10/90 written several places on the car
NCRS. 9/2009, Regional Top Flight. 99.7
It's got 63k and a few mods on it now, so it's probably not 99.7 now...
