Mountain Run

A Mountain Run is being planned and an announcement email has been sent to participants from the past 4 mountain runs. If you did not receive this email please PM your email address to me.

When details are finalized we will post a new thread and email everyone interested in participating.

Re: Mountain Run

FWIW, the first dozen or so email responses I've received have favored a fall run rather than a summer run. If a Fall MR becomes the popular choice then we may try to schedule the run to coincide with the fall foliage. General location will be the mountain areas of western NC, northern GA, and east TN. Exact dates & locations TBD. If you've been on any of the Mountain Runs you already know what to expect - if not, it's time to join us - we always have a good time running on some great roads & seeing some terrific scenery. Questions? ... post 'em here.

Interested. And fall would be a nice time of year to do it.

Fall would give us additional distancing from, hopefully, the end of the pandemic.

I've often wondered ... do you have to change your plates when your wife rides with you?

No, she's even suggested a few. She said no to the trip anyway.
I'm keeping last years plate. It didn't get enough miles on it last year.

As much as Dad and I would enjoy going on another Mtn Run (regardless of season).....we?ve made plans for the end of May to make a 2wk trip out west thru TX, AZ, CO, the Dakotas, WY, NE and back home....that is provided he stays in reasonably good health. That being said, I imagine that I?ll be doing most if not all the driving anyways, which is fine by me. 😁😉 Whatever you all decide, Im gonna do my damndest to talk him into another MR run soon.

Hope you can join us. If it's a go, don't wait too long to get hotel reservations. Either way, let me know.
