Twin turbo...hmm, next step up for #473?

Sure sounds nice! Will get my porting done as next step, but this would really wake up my ZR-1!

Corey has my twin turbo running. Said he just had a few things left to do. Some gauges I think. Waiting for numbers.

Hey Ron,

Would be very interested in your project. I'm in Magnolia, Tx, just north of Houston. Will watch for your reports when it's finished..

Corey is just finishing the last project, then to the dyno. Should have numbers soon.

can't wait to hear more. any updates?

love to hear some details about the project so far. Is this the raptor kit?

Re: Twin turbo...hmm, next step up for #473?

Yes. It is the Raptor. I had Corey build the engine with around 9:1 compression. I believe the project is done. Corey is going to drive it some to make sure there are no bugs. Boost is going to be a modest 10 pounds. I have no numbers yet.

Any word on this yet?

Corey said it would be done this week. He had a problem with the turbos passing oil and swapped them out for bigger and better ball bear turbos.

The last I heard, about a month ago, Corey was repairing the inter-cooler, then was going to do a tune with 10 pounds of boost.

The video that came on right after this one was even more fun. I'll bet Jay's Merlin would wake up your ZR-1! --Bob

Re: Twin turbo...hmm, next step up for #473?

That would be a real killer in #473!!

On a more serious note, just returned from PRI. Here's the plan for my '91 in 2019..

Will be scanning and 3D printing a custom dash bezel and instrument cluster, installing new gauges running off of Holley Dominator ECM. Custom fabrication and installation of two "siamesed" Garrett GTX 3576 turbos, tied in to existing SW 3" exhaust. All tuning and engine management through the Holley Dominator. Mahle pistons and rods. Custom crank with target 24 or 58 trigger.

Should be fun.. probably a 12 month project.. start in February or March so stay tuned!

I would be interested in seeing the bezel once done
