Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
I am thinking about a C4, looking at the LT4 and LT5, leaning toward the Z, but would love to connect with a few locals and pick their brains.

Awesome guys thanks!

Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
As Dom pointed out, Robert, Joe and I would be happy to connect and talk ZR-1s. We are knowledgeable about Corvettes in general and have a ton of experience with C4s. If you can make it to the annual C4 Gathering at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green between May 10 and 14, you would not regret it - we have many ZR-1, Grand Sport and base C4 owners participate in a week of information sharing, minor repairs, fun racing, and great stories over great food and drink. Look forward to connecting.

Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
Just a clarification but the ZR Gathering begins on May 17th, not the 10th.

Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
I'm just outside of Flint

Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
Wow, I have to say, the LT5 community does pull me toward the ZR-1. It seems like a tight group of people.
I'm between A2 and Flint, in Macomb. Spend my days at the GM Tech Center. I hope to have my ducks in a row before summer so I can get into a C4 LT4 or LT5 |

Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
I'm a new member to this site but have been on some other corvette forums and live just outside of Jackson. Let me know if you or anyone wants to get a group of Michigan guys together for a cruise in or to look at your potential new purchase.

Bob[/QUOTE Yep, I have a close to stock 90 bright red, black interior. I'm close to Ann Arbor, my son actually attends a small private college in Ann Arbor. Drove the Z over there a couple of times. |
Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
Hey Geronimo, buddy of mine just sent me this listing for a white 90 in Troy. Might be worth looking at?
https://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/6072743114.html I'm on the east side of A2, bought my Z from a guy in Macomb a couple of summers ago. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry |
Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
That Zr1 looks really clean... Would be worth looking into.

Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
Once I get a solid budget set I will dig deeper. I would like to stick to a 91 or newer, I just like the nose a little better.... If I can muster the budget I might even try to swing for a 94+, but either way a 91+ will be my target.

Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
I know where there is a beautiful '94 near me.

Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
I'm another ZR-1 owner in Michigan - Bloomfield specifically. My ZR-1 is a red/red 95. (Also own a C2).
I'd be up for a Michigan ZR-1 get-together! |

Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
Agree, guys! I am in Ann Arbor, and Steve and I have been having an exchange on this. Dinner and a cruise sounds like a winning combination for a first outing. Depending on other commitments, I imagine Robert (DeMarco, Frankenmuth) and Joe (Thomas, Okemos) would be up for this as well. I am sure there would be others once we get some wheels on this. It's a matter of picking a time and general area. How would July 22 work? Let's throw out a few venues - cruise Woodward and meal at Salvatore's (lots of other options off Woodward); Frankenmuth - dine there or one of Robert's favs in the area; Belle Isle and dine downtown or in the burbs. There is a cars and coffee at M1 concourse Aug 5, but that's an early morning deal which would make a cruise and a dinner more complicated.

bob[QUOTE] Bob, unfortunately I will be out of town on our summer family vacation on July 22nd, but I totally agree that we have to get some dates out there and some venues or just dinner. I've never heard of the M1 concourse depending on times I might be able to swing that weekend for something. I'm all for coming over to your guys way if we can get a group together. I will go to the other thread and try to add to the Zoom get together post to se if we can get some more interest. My wife and I actually almost took the z over to Ann Arbor for dinner on Sat night but stopped over in Chelsea area. Thanks, Steve |
Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
I'm in kalamazoo. ZR-1 isn't road worthy at the moment though. I have been procrastinating.

Re: Any Michigan ZR-1 people?
Looking forward to our get together this coming weekend. Two weekends ago, at the Lingenfelter Cars and Coffee, I ran into Dave McClellan and his '95 ZR-1 "ZREX". He will be there next weekend as well for our gathering. I also ran into the guy who bought my old '92 ZR-1. In the past six years, he has put almost 7,000 miles on the car and hasn't changed a thing. He says he's been enjoying it.
