Hello gang!

It's been a while, but this is an opportunity to kick off the 2017 driving season, and for the gang to get our Z's together!

Post up here if you decide to come and we'll make plans to meet for breakfast and then arrive "in mass" at Hawk Chevrolet.

I will be attending. I already have my spot inside the showroom all picked out. This is usually the first local Joliet area car show of the year.

I may have my car up and running by then. Would like to drive down as a shakedown run for BG.
Do we need to apply here or just show up?

You can just show up. If you want to show your car and any indoor spaces are left, you should contact Corvette's Unlimited and pre-register. With the rain this weekend that might not be a bad idea.

Also I am planning on going to BG, leaving on May 17th in the morning. The route I an taking will be traveling south down Route 47 from Morris if anyone wants to caravan.

My car needs a good bath especially in prep for traveling to KY etc. If you've never been to BG, this time of year is notorious for a deluge at times when in the mountains.
I believe both Paul and I may be headed down earlier than that for the MR5.
Pete and Marc usually head down around Wed./Thursday.

We're doing the MR5 to "get ready" for the BG gathering!:-D And, we're taking in the "BBB", the Bluegrass Balloon Bust, a family-oriented BBQ and rifle contest (water balloon and suckers at 200, 300, and 400 yards - a real hoot!).

The match is in Somerset, KY - right on the way to Blowing Rock. (How conveeeeeeenient!!):dancing Somerset is 7-1/2 hours from here - makes a perfect over night stop over before continuing onto Blowing Rock (cutting across the mountains - should be a fabulous drive!)

Attended the 4/30/17 Hawk Chevy Corvette Show.


The ZR1 still looks good in a dealer showroom.
