Bruce, there are various ways to post pics. I use photobucket and have it opened along with whatever post here on the forum that you want to post pics. Then just a simple "copy" and "paste" from one to the other, works great for me....

GLWS....sounds like a nice ZR-1 and have fun with that 65 roadster!!!

thanks for those, what a project! always loved the '74 roadster, never thought of looking for a LS4, nice find! maybe one day...

here's some pics of mine, the '65 will be a driver and will probably lose the '70s paint job. most of my retired driving has been ferrying wifey around, and she prefers comfort. this is the main reason i haven't driven the zr-1 more.

The 65 looks good. What is the original color of the roadster, and do you intend to stay original, or do a color change? I lucked out on the 74, my first BB Vette.
The 95 also looks very good. Anyway you look at it Corvettes are a fun ride!!!

looks like the time you spent on bringing yr '74 back to life has been rewarding. i'm 2 years into the '65, it's been drivable (got a ticket already), but i've yet to come up with the final formula. i'd like to autocross it (need bigger wheels), maybe show it. have beefed up the drivetrain, installed headers and am ready to pull the engine to clean up that area and maybe add some HP. before the current look it was glen green tho i'm thinking of some other colors for repaint.

i had a '72 BB that was probably my most fun car to drive, 3.08 rear & M20 made it great on the road or around town. eng had so much potential, tho i didn't have the scratch to mess with it at the time. a little front heavy for autocrossing and if the track was fast it would swap ends under heavy braking. never got around to repainting it, sold for $8k in 1990 when california would no longer let it pass smog without some major investment in missing hardware. i know you'll be enjoying your roadster soon!

It's been over 8 years now, and now being retired I can devote more time to get it done. Hoping to have it back on the ground by late spring, early summer. The engine is apart, going with a roller cam & lifters plus heads and other items. Also have the 3.08 rear but with a TH400. These were smog motors for sure, but still ran decent for what they were.
Thought about color change, but decided to keep the Dark Brown Metallic. Just want to have a nice driver that has a little bit more power...

With a color change on your 65, as you know, there is a lot more to do prepping the body for that....that is one of the reasons I am staying with the original color. Will be stripping the paint myself, who knows I still might get tempted....lol

why don't you swap your BB for my zr-1? ha ha! i know exactly what i'd do with it, lighten it up w/ alum heads, manifold & headers, put in a 4 spd (the TH400 is massively heavy!), think you were smart going with the roller cam. does it already have A/C? engaging to think about anyway. hope you find the right color for your fun car!!

That is a tempting offer, although I would like owning 2 ZR-1's lol I think my wife would really like to keep the Vert, and I don't think I could part with it either.....lol
But you never know.....
Yes, it is a factory A/C car and has most of the options, except T&T wheel, leather interior, rear defogger and shoulder belts.

I have 68 427 "215" closed chambered heads ready to go. They have the larger 2.19 & 1.88 valves installed with all work done to them. I still have my original opened chambered "781" heads also. The only thing that would be needed to do is port match the intake, which I still might do. I also have a 68/69 427/390 factory Q-Jet aluminum intake which I had "tumbled" years ago, looks brand new. Just sitting in the box and ready. Using my original Q-Jet, which I had rebuilt by Lars, from over on CF. I may go with a slightly higher stall converter especially with the engine enhancements. Since the vehicle only has 10,254 original miles on it....(yes I know, why did you take it apart??? sometimes I ask myself the same question....) At this time I am not replacing the bottom end, not touching the pistons, rods, crank, etc.
Looking to raise compression from 8.25:1 to 9.25:1 or 9.5:1 with the head and gasket change.
Had the rear, TA's, rebuilt. New adjustable struts, new QA1 non adjustable shocks, etc., etc. My goal was and still is to do it once and be done....

The 74 is at my friends garage in the West Grove, Cochranville PA area off of RT 1. You be more than welcome to take a ride up in the future if you like when I am out there.

Thanks Jeff, glad you like the color. Was not one of my favorites, but it has grown on me over the years. Haven't been following the prices lately, but being a 454 auto & factory air has to be a plus I would imagine...

Would like to have a bare bones 74-75 Convertible but would have to sell a Nova Convertible first.
