Canadians Invading WAZOO Territory
 

Hi All: Tripler and I are bringing our Z down to Dempsey's October 13th for fluid changes. Haven't found anybody in the Toronto area yet who is familiar with the LT5. I'm sure there are folks just haven't found them yet and it is a good excuse to take her on a road trip. Just wondering if any WAZOO members close to Evolution are interested in getting together for a beverage. We should be arriving on October 12th and staying until the 14th.

I am located in Alexandria, VA about 15 miles south of the Capital Beltway (495). With some notice I could host a late afternoon gathering at my place, throw some burgers on the grill and have some adult beverages. I am about an hour 20 minutes north of Dempsey's shop.

Thank you Rich for that kind and generous offer. Barring unforeseen circumstances we should be in the Fredericksburg area Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, although Thursday could be iffy depending on how long it takes to do all the fluid changes on our Z and fingers crossed nothing horrible pops up.

Cool, we can play it by ear. If your car is tied up on the lift we could also maybe meet up somewhere down near Dempsey. The traffic going south from my area to Fredericksburg can be a real bite at rush hour. I work in Quantico so if I left from work, I could get down 95 before it gets too ugly. Rich

Hey all,!,..alright so!!, maybe we can shut down operations and have a gathering like we wanted to plan earlier...!...Rich just take 95 to 234-west to 28-to 17 south and your good to go!.

If a gathering sounds good-post it elsewhere on the sights(ZR1 and Corvette forum) and we'll plan it up right!!!!

Hey Dempsey - Tripler and I have moved our schedule around so we don't need to leave on Saturday to come back to Canada. So if SATURDAY works for you it works for us - Woo Hoo!!!!!

Ohh, Ketchup chips, be sure to declare them, so you don't get into trouble in case the sniffer dogs pick up on them at the border.

There is so much right about a country that sells beer at a lower cost than pop.

Alright All, OCTOBER 15th is the day, I have a special request that IF YOU CAN MAKE IT....make it...

We have a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!! that will need your input!!!!!

The gathering here will begin at 8 am and go on till its done!...

I will try to have a lift or two open so we can work on some cars as well as the dyno will be available as well.

Guys are doing a great job so far on our 1995 ZR-1 . Radiator and brake fluid definitely needed changing and trans and diff looked fine . Bottom of car has zero oil and looks pretty darn clean . Car has 27,000 plus miles on it . Getting Amzoil with lots of zinc in it . Sweet ..

I am very happy to say our little event was awesome...I want to thank everyone who made the trip out to the shop..This is just the beggining....It is official!!!!this will now be an event every year at this time..HOWEVER much more to be planned(2-3day event, food,drink, track time, Dyno time,local back road touring, local historic tours ect)eveything is local(hotels,track ect)....here are some pics of the innaugural EME gathering!!!😉😊

Hey guys . In a bit of a bind . The car won't start . Talked to Jim Voter on the phone and he says it is probably the solenoid. Just waiting to get a boost as I can't push start it where I am parked with the car right now . Not much of a hill .

. On our way back to Canada now . On a sad note also Deslie's brother passed away on Thursday or Friday as they only found him on Sat ... As you can guess Des with the car not starting she was more upset ...

Hey Dempsy . Were good . We are in Bradford PA spending the night . Car would not start in Breezwood. I had forgotten how to boost the Z . This happened once before when we left BG. I gave a call to Jim Voter as I could not find your number quickly . Jim said to jump start the car you have to go to the neg post . Thanks Jim ...That worked for boosting it . Now I am just parking it on a hill in case it wont start again but so far it keeps starting .

Thanks Dempsey . Just back from dinner here in Bradford and getting ready for a quiet night .
Thanks again for the bbq and it was awesome meeting all the other members that were able to make the party . That is some site of ZR-1's . We are very proud to be part of such an iconic vehicle and meet the awesome people that own , repair and drive them .
