WMD - Saturday, 28 May 2016 - Westminster, MD
I will be holding a Westminster Maintenance Day (WMD) on Saturday, 28 May 2016 at the garage behind my house at 195 W Main St, Westminster MD 21157.

Steve, Not much progress to report. It was transported from the Chev dealer near Knoxville to a local Chev collision center and has been sitting there for a week while the manager works on the repair estimate for the insurance company. He says he has been too busy to complete it and may have it done by the end of the week but I expected better response. Maybe I am just being impatient and selfish about it but I am considering Plan C, which will be having it transported to a different shop if they can offer a reasonable time and cost estimate. The good news is that I can source a black ZR-1 rear bumper locally and suspension parts from Marc Haibeck. The remaining work would involve repairing or replacing the rear fender. I will meet with the Plan C shop tomorrow and show him pictures to see what he thinks about it.

Sorry... I've got to pick up a belly pan for my BMW, take it to Dempsey's, mount it and bring it home. Dempsey repaired front end damage.

Thanks again for hosting, and it was great to see everyone who was able to make it out on Sat! With the group's help, the turquoise car is running smoothly with new injectors, coils and plug wires (and a small vac leak repaired), and is almost ready for it's new owner in Germany. Here's the only pic that I took - Jim and John finishing up the drive shaft re-install after locating and fixing a couple of engine/transmission leaks on John's red '91. The turquoise car had finally made it out of the garage at this point, and I had a couple of mins to relax before helping bolt up John's exhaust. Hope to see everyone next time... I may only have one or two more chances to participate until we (reluctantly) move later this year. Scott |

Glad we could help Scott. We had a great WMD. Lots of BS'ing and swapping stories and oh yeah we worked on some ZR-1's.
