19.100 for a 10,000 mile ZR1
Was following the bidding on this one 91 ZR1 on ebay...
Red/Red 10,500 miles, all stock, with factory saw blades, both tops......Car looked flawless...Some routine parts changed over the years.....Looks like somebody got a great deal.... Since i purchased mine in November, I have been following buying and selling trends...So far from what i have seen this looks like the best value for the amount of miles the car had......Car looked great in photos and was located in Miami.... Anybody on the registry buy this car? |

Good deal for sure. I guess mine will never appreciate so I can retire. Oh well, might as well drive it and enjoy it ;) |
Re: 19.100 for a 10,000 mile ZR1
I briefly attempted to gauge interest in my 91 and got a few emails and calls, but the difference between the ZR-1 and my old 95 LT1 coupe was that people actually came out to drive the 95. Just like Walmart...it is all about the price for 98 percent of the buying public.
My guess is that for more than $15k there are a lot of other sports car choices. Curious though that non ZR 6-speed C4's are going up in value, but largely they are still all under $10k. |
Re: 19.100 for a 10,000 mile ZR1
I think at times what is hurting the ZR1 is that to most people it just resembles a regular C-4....I remember back when there was a great amount of talk about this car....When it finally appeared im like," it looks like a regular Corvette"..I feel chevy made a big deal about all the hype on this car that most people expected a different style.....
I chose to buy a ZR1 because I am a corvette guy....I know the difference when I see one and also have the 73 so I feel I am getting the best of both worlds... I don't feel the ZR1 will drop anymore in price but I do see a lot of swings in prices as to what people are asking for them... |
Re: 19.100 for a 10,000 mile ZR1
What's hurting the value the most is all the criticism people keep throwing at it in regards to how difficult it is to work on, no parts for repaired ETC.

Just $12k might get you into this Red/Black '90 with 58K mileage, A-mold wheels, pictures look spiffy. VIN# 1094 I'm making the trip this weekend to pick mine up at SGC, very excited about the Z I'm getting, otherwise I would've called this one if I was still shopping. |
Re: 19.100 for a 10,000 mile ZR1
Poor fitment around the front bumper...Seller says good condition....Maybe it's had some body work which is maybe to be expected for a 26 year old car...If maintenance was routinely done it could be a good buy since the owner put a very reasonable price or OBO....

Re: 19.100 for a 10,000 mile ZR1
Interesting in that the window sticker shows to be 5K more than my car and has a Canadian destination. Only difference I see on the sticker is the base cost, bronze roof panel and destination costs.

Re: 19.100 for a 10,000 mile ZR1
While you're looking up VIN#'s, can you also plug in this one?
1G1YZ23J1L5802338 was a white ZR1 that was also advertised in Miami for $8k with 14K mileage (totally trashed, looked like it was submerged in a canal.) Seller was a "less than honest person" |
Re: 19.100 for a 10,000 mile ZR1
There's a 91 blk/blk 11,000 mile one on eBay....He wants 39,000....Meanwhile the one in Miami with 10,000 miles sold for 19,100...
I think 39,000 for a 91 Z Is through the roof... |
Re: 19.100 for a 10,000 mile ZR1
I really hope he gets it !!!

Re: 19.100 for a 10,000 mile ZR1
This thread was originally about a 10,000-mile Z on eBay...
The OP had asked if anyone on the registry got the car and although I didn't check the VIN on the original listing, I think I found the car. There's an eBay seller (mmogab) in Miami who seems to always have the very best, low-mileage C4s available. He now has one for sale that I'm pretty sure is the same car. He's asking $23,900, which is still a pretty fair price, considering the profit he'll make if he gets it. |
Re: 19.100 for a 10,000 mile ZR1
I see what your saying now...The car that I was following which sold for 19,100 is this car..
You may be right since I remember that add saying that it was sold to a dealer originally out of an estate sale......Don't remember If the original add said he had a power chip I don't think it did but, it is a good chance it is the same car .. Bought it for 19,100......Selling for 24k.....Even if he gets 22, and that is still a very good deal for this car he will make himself a quick 3 grand... |
