I just purchased a 1992 ZR1 last week and joined the registry. Here are a few pics of my new car. 40,450 miles

...and (2) you've come to the right place! (FBI land!) Where in IL are you?

Most of the Zs are in the northern (Chicagoland) part, I'm 2.5mi so. of Custer Park (~20 miles so. of Joliet; approx ~8.5 road miles so. of Wilmington.) Where Zackly are you in IL?

Nice car, I've been to Wilmington lots of times. I'm about 26 miles straight south of Kankakee.

I can't imagine owning a ZR-1 and not being a member of this forum AND the ZR-1 Net Registry. Congratulations on your "new" ZR-1. We're glad to have you with us!

You're real close to the US-41 Dragway, by golly! Just north of Morocco IN is where the FBI meets in the fall at the US-41 Dragway; home of the Crown Point Corvette Club's Annual Corvette Shootout. :cheers:

Thanks for all the welcomes, I love the ZR1, takes me back to the old hot rod days. I got rid of a beautiful 2008 C6 vert auto to purchase the Z. I loved the C6 and I am sure it was faster than the Z but when I drove the Z it took me back. I love the sound of it and just looking at the motor makes me feel good.

I did the same thing, I had a 2006 C6 and a 1984 C4. I drove the 84 to work every day. It got boring to drive, automatic, 180 something horsepower so I bought a 95 ZR-1 to daily drive back and forth to work.

I liked it so much I sold my 2006 Vette and bought another ZR-1. Now that I have two I never think about the a C6.

Nothing sounds like a LT5 rolling through the gears.
