Burgerittoville!
As of now, the weather looks good for tomorrow night...
Anyone else in for a little Burgeritto and ice cream??? For the newbies, just off I-84 Exit 10. Drive past the Diner, under the railroad tracks and the Vettes will be parked on the right. Very casual and low key cruise night.....1/4 mile from Exit 10...starts around 6:00 PM and goes until dusk. |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Okay, my local weather says 30% chance of T-storms.......sooooo, I guess I will try to get in the wind before 5PM so I can get there by 6PM.
 Tom |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Just saw the same forecast.....possible bummer.
Will be watching it closely and will be there if it is not raining...... The local guys (non ZR-1 guys) will also shy away if the weather looks lousy.....hopefully the rain will hold off until after sunset....it is the first day of Summer today!!! |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Scott, yea the rain is a bummer.
:o I am going to back out as I'm going to Lou's to finish what I started on Sunday on his car. I was going to play hooky but my conscience will not let me leave his cooling system unfinished. I hope you guys have a great night! Tom |
Re: Burgerittoville!
The rain is getting ready to come down...I'm bailing out as well. Bummer.
|
Re: Burgerittoville!
Well it never did rain down by me! I have to learn that summer T-storms is just BS when it's less than 50% probability. Anyway me & Lou got his cooling & A/C systems squared away so it was time well spent. Next we have to track down some oil leaks. I think it's the cam covers....oh joy!
Next week I'll see if I can get Lou to come on up with me. Tom |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Great night again tonight. Fantastic weather.
Bob - We missed you! All other ZR-1 Brothers in CT and the Westchester/Dutchess/Putnam County, NY area - Come on out!!! Tues. nights Exit 10 in Newtown, CT. All are invited.....Weather permitting of course..... Burgerittos, Ice Cream, and great conversation.....does it get any better??? |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Now that is the truth Scott! I can't think of a better way to spend a nice summer evening than to hang with my fellow BOB's. It was a great time as usual!
The guys in your club are aces too! They are a great group to know. Thanks for inviting me. Yea, Bob you gotta make some time to come and hang out with us bro. We missed you last night. Hey Doug, so what do you think of my lame idea about Bloomington next year? I'm game and I think it would be fun to hook up with the FBI guys & hang with them at that event? Tom |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Tom Tom,
Great seeing you last nite! Great food and people! I'm giving some serious thought to Bloomington next year. I talked w/John this AM and brought the idea up with him. We've got a long time to discuss this. Think about Lime Rock on Sunday of Labor day weekend... Doug |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Okay, I'm game for LRP on Labor Day........go ahead twist my arm! Ouch, that's enough! :icon_boun
BTW, what's going on at LRP on Labor Day? Vintage Racing? Truth be told I'm down with whatever is going on at LRP if we are going to hang out as a group it will be a great time no matter what's going on. Tom |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Hi guys, I had to teach a martial arts classm for a friend of mine. The next couple of Tuesdays are bad in that I'll be on vacation and I now have to spend a week in Toronto on July 18th. I am looking forward to coming back the following Tuesday.
|
Re: Burgerittoville!
I also penciled in Sunday of Labor Day Weekend to meet at LRP.
|
Re: Burgerittoville!
Hey Bob, have a great vacation! We still missed your company and it will be nice to get all of us together again later on in July and August. We have to cook up some things to do like some cruises to waste gas and such.
For sure the LRP meet in September will be great and it would be cool to see how many Z's we can get to come and join in the fun. Be well and have fun in Toronto!  Tom |
Re: Burgerittoville!
If we ever get a Tuesday without rain or at least one where I know I might be able to get back before the monsoon, I plan to drop down. Last Tuesday we had a gulley washer starting at 6 for a couple hours. Weather comes from the west and unfortunately so do I.
Will see you at LRP on the 9th. Long range forecast is for clear skys and low 80's. |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Looks like good weather for tonight! Hope to see some of the CT/NY ZR-1 brothers at Burgerittoville again tonight. Will be there before 6:00 PM.
|
Re: Burgerittoville!
Scott, I'm out for tonight. I have some stuff to do that is going to take some time after work. I have to get some of it done because I've been procrastinating on this list for a while now.
You guys have fun. Tom |
Re: Burgerittoville!
OK. Back from vacation....
Anybody up for a little Burgerittoville on Tues? It's August already!!!! |
Re: Burgerittoville!

Yes Tuesday would be good if the weather holds out. I'll adjust my work schedule to get away a bit early. Perhaps we could talk about the Historic Meet at LRP and see if we might make a ZR-1 group to attend? Tom |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Tom -
Sounds like a plan. Have you met Mike Beal yet? He has the 91 ZR-1 Spyder...he may be coming Tues. night if the weather is good. See you there... |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Scott, Yes I met Mike at the ALMS corvette paddock. That car is soooo sweet! Wait till you see it in person, she's right!
See you Tuesday as the forecast is for no rain!;) |

Tom -
It is very sweet, and rather amazing. Mike was at the Heavenly donuts cruise in Derby, CT last Weds night and I met him there....what a great and unique machine...the story is very cool as well... See you tomorrow! Scott http://s981.photobucket.com/albums/a...ZR-1Spyder.jpg |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Very good fortune to have met Scott at Heavenly Donuts - very helpful and full of useful information. The weather looks good - I do plan on bringing my 'vert to Burgerittoville Tues. Hope to meet up with some more of the brotherhood.
|
Re: Burgerittoville!
Yes for sure that car is the tits!
I try to get enough time to get to the Heavenly meet. I did it once but the traffic was a bear for me at rush hour on the Merritt! One day I'll see if I can do the leave work early thing so I don't have to fight traffic so much! I'll be there Tuesday as long as my Board President doesn't expect me to hang out on Tuesday night for the Mayor's visit to my building! Some political BS going on I just got the word on this affair a few minutes ago. I have to call my building manager and see if my presence is required or what during this meet & greet. Sooo, if all I have to do is set up for this thing, I'm a vapor trail after work on Tuesday.....if I gotta stay then I guess I'm screwed! Oh joy! |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Tom Tom,
Do ya hafta wear a tie when you meet hiz honor the mayor? :dancing If so, what color tie goes with the cranberry 2010 ZR-1 Net Registry T shirt? Are you still wearing it with all the wrinkles it had when came out of the compression packaging? I can't make it to Burgerittoville this week, I've got our monthly Corvette club meeting (1st Tuesday of every month). Doug |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Between vacation and other commitments, July just disappeared. I am planning to be there tomorrow too! Looking forward to seeing Mike's car.
|
Re: Burgerittoville!
Tom -
Please remind Lou about Burgerittoville...maybe Mike's Spyder Beast will persuade him for a little evening of the brotherhood.... By Tues. evening, I will need a diversion....our external ISO audit starts in the morning.....UGH. See you tomorrow! I am definitely looking forward to it!!! Scott |

Re: Burgerittoville!
Sounds like a good gathering of ZR-1s at Burgerittoville tonight.
I'll bring my 1990 and add another to the group. |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Great get together a the Ville (8/2/11). My first visit and I hope I can make it more often. Great group providing freindship, support and advise. Special thanks to Tom Tom for his on the spot diagnosis and fix on a slight breathing problem with the beast (As far as I'm concerned, Tom has guru status when it comes to the LT5.)
Hope we can all hook up at Heavenly Donuts in Derby on Wednesday (no good tommorow, 8/3 - looks like rain.) Thanks all - nice time! |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Yes, we had a mini-Gathering last night. What's that about who owns the night?

Re: Burgerittoville!
Tom -
Thanks for posting up the photos! Great night again had by all! We got to talking so much we never made it over for ice cream...for me...that's a good thing! Scott |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Scott, yea, I can do without the ice cream also!
It was a great gathering last night & I think we all had great fun.....so many Z cars in one spot was almost as if we we doing our own car show! I can't thank you enough for tipping me in to this Tuesday night gathering. It is a great way to spend an evening! Hey Lou has something going on for charity down in Greenwich this coming Sunday. Stay tuned for details. As soon as I get them straight I will post up here. I think it's in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs, anyway he got PEPSICO to sponsor the event. It would be nice to have some of the Beasts show up to represent, word! Tom |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Nice pictures, Tom. Nicer, still, to have actually been there with LT5 lovers. I'm still in awe of you silently jumping up at the mention of my symptom, bee-lining to my beast, literally climibing into the engine bay with your knees on the wheel and you hind end in the air, and performing the fix - Awesome Stuff. That's what makes a brotherhood a brotherhood.

Re: Burgerittoville!
Tom -
Please post up about Lou's event. Sunday may work for me. FYI, there is also a Candlewood Valley CC breakfast run (45 minute drive/breakfast/45 minute drive) scheduled at 8:00 AM this Sunday. These are fun...they depart from the I-84 Exit 2 Starbucks promptly at 8:00 AM..... That is even closer to home for you Tom!! Usually have a few Porsches, BMWs etc join the run. This is open to anybody who is interested. Scott |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Very cool!
Nice group of cars you put together! David |
Re: Burgerittoville!
Scott, have gas & ZR-1, will travel!
As soon as I can speak with Lou at length tonite I will post up the details. I volunteered to go with him to make sure the local Pepsi Distributor gets his set up straight. The CEO lives in Greenwich and if she happens to come by I told Lou we better "get it right" or else. I'll have to see what & how it all shakes out. I would say yes save for this set up thing with Lou. Mike, that's what I get for being short! I'm glad no one got a picture of that! Seriously, that's what our Brotherhood is all about....no ZR-1 left behind It happened to me when I was a rookie owner at a show down in Atlantic City. Ron Kreigh was the first other Z owner that I met. He was welcoming me to the club and loking over my Z when he noticed that one of the clips that hold the FX3 motor on the top of the shock was adrift. Seamlessly as we were speaking of the cars he reached down and reinstalled the clip and then gave me the skinny on keeping an eye on the clips! It was, I guess, how I learned to be a Brother of The Beast. Tom |
