ZR-1 Northeast Get Together
ZR-1 Net Registry Northeast get together: Saturday, July 9, 2011 @ American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park. Lime Rock,Connecticut
Lime Rock is sort of centrally located in the Northeast and will make a great place for a ZR-1 get together, of course all ZR-1s from everywhere are more than welcome and encouraged to attend. All the "hard work" is already done by the good folks who run the "Corvette Corral" (not to mention the great goody bag they hand out) all we have to do is show up and watch the C6Rs kick some butt and show off to the rest of the Corvette (and Porsche etc.) world why the ZR-1 is so special and is the most unique Corvette ever built. If the rest of the world doesn't understand or agree, it's their loss... Note: this ZR-1 get together is not put on or run by the "Corvette Corral", (but it has been sanctioned by the ZR-1 Net Registry) we'll just be attending and having our own get together @ their event . Tickets for the Corral (car & driver) must purchased prior to the event, by phone or the Lime Rock website, see below. Tickets for your lucky passenger may be purchased ahead of time or @ the the gate on the day of the event. Bring a folding chair and a cooler! I am a (relatively, since last year) new ZR-1 owner here in CT. I would really like to attend some of these events. Unfortunately, the timing for these events always seems to conflict with other things in my life.
This one sounds great, but I'll be pn vacation and I can't change that. I'll be looking for more events to attend in 2011. |

Usually later this month when things warm up. Exit 10 on I-84 is 15 miles east of the NY/CT border. Burgeritoville is 1/4 mile West from the exit, about 100 yards after going under the train bridge. I'll try to remember to post up here when it starts. Scott |

Burgerittoville is definitely a go this evening...there will also be a local reporter doing a story tonight. 6:00 PM start.
FYI, Doug and I both took home trophies from the weekend show in New Hampshire. Great show....would like to have seen a few more ZR-1s there..... My 94 Admiral had some photos taken of it and posted on the "other forum" under the Northeast events section by one of the attendees. Doug and are can also be seen conversing in the background of one of the earlier shots...no doubt a serious discussion about our beasts!!!! |

Nice cut and paste! Too bad the ugly guy got into the photo (at least he was wearing the 2011 Registry shirt and a ZR-1 Racing hat!!!)
I will miss the July 9th event (ughhhhhhh) due to previous commitments.... Also need to miss the judged show put on by Club Corvette here in CT on the July 10th...always a great show.... |

Doug, I'll ask Lou and let you know, or he may call you directly. Lou has been very busy at work. They're remodeling the HQ and he is overseeing a lot of the work. I'll ask when I see him this weekend.
I would be up for it for sure. They allow ZR-1's with body damage? You sure you guys want to be seen with me & my car? It isn't likely to be repaired by then.:p The guy is claiming to Geico that he didn't damage my car. :neutral: |

Okay it looks like I'll be coming in solo. Lou is way busy at work and it's tough on him to cut out on time or even early to catch this evening get together.
