Checking in...

Hello all...

Just checking in just in case anyone here cared if I fell off the face of the earth or not. I haven't been on here (logged in or not) for maybe 3-4 months now. Just been really focused on running/racing my Stingray, basically from late July until 3rd week of Nov. in Las Vegas. When I'm in 'Running my car mode', I have pretty hard tunnel vision. Still building engine's & what not but try to back that way down when I have my car out. I have my car out so little, because I'm always working on customer stuff, I just have to be very selfish with it.

I did happen to catch up with some ZR-oners a few times, mid-Sept. John Boyd (Hammer), Kevin Pietro (Polo 1) & Joe Cagianut (diamondzr1) drove out to Spokane WA. to watch me race, which was awesome!

Then a few weeks ago in Las Vegas at the PSCA Street Car Supernationals, I met for the 1st time Ry (Zr1 Destroyer), he was there helping a friend of his that ran great & went on to win the class I was in!

I'm flat out busy these days tearing down & building engines as well as a bunch of porting but I'll try to poke my nose in & out when I can make time.

Take care everyone & be good .

Ryan.

Since no one else will tell you, I will. While you were out a new ZR-1 Net president was elected and all Canadians were banned from the board.

Beautiful car!
It's got a license plate! (I know it says FLYIN)
And the radio antenna is up!
Lower it = Faster times/less wind resistance.
Are you sure this isn't just a Photo Shopped
RC car? I have too much time on my hands........:dancing

Thanks Ted. I've owned the car since 1988. Guess I've had it for a while now. Heck ya' it's got a license plate, I have two, one with a hole for the parachute to go through & another that has the current month & year tags for the street. The car has power windows but no power antenna, wasn't an option in those years. Funny you mention that, you made me look at it & noticed it actually has a bit of 'Whip' to it, it's a pretty stiff antenna so it surprises me a little.

Re: Checking in...

Just a few tips....

1)Tire pressure looks alittle low, that could be dangerous on the highway. Myself, I always keep a gauge on hand and check once a week.

2)1976, not sure if you know this, but thats a whats called a "smog" motor and your probably only putting about 120rwhp....car looks like an L48.

She may end up being like her Mom & can't drive a standard, LOL. Little chance of that happening though ;).

I have wondered where you've been! I understand busy. Time goes by so quickly anymore that I barely know what day it is sometimes.

The Stingray is absolutely awesome Ryan. I sure would like to see you run someday.

Congrats on the new addition. She's going to have something to say about your time & schedules too! :)

Glad you're back with us and appreciate the pictures!
