I remember it well Michael. With the amount of snow we got, you almost could have some ZR-1's in the circle and not even know it!!

Don't worry, the WAZOO will rise again and we will have a great year in 2010.

Thank God for internet based Block Buster and Netflix...

Got that right...in between snow blowing could rest up with a movie...we just installed a new home theater system in the media room and got the Samsung P4600 BluRay...it has wireless connectivity to the Internet and has Netflix/Blockbuster/You Tube/Pandora options built in...

I went to Bestbuy because they were advertising $145 Samsung Blu-ray but walked out with a P4600 also.
Cox bandwidth is challenging at times but it's great to have an option to watch movies without driving to a Blockbusters.

I've had it with snow! We just spent the last 40+ hours with no electicity. Any idea how cold it gets in a house with no heat and it's 16 degrees outside? All in all we did fine, it could have been a lot worse.

I'm ready for spring just the same...

Ugh, sorry to hear that Scott! I always wonder if we could use our gas stove to heat the house some if the power went out, but thankfully I've never had to try it out.

Re: Snow and remembering better times for the ZR gathering>>

Wow, sorry to hear that Scott. Was it a local outage?

Bob, Gas stove manufacturers say it is dangerous to try to heat a house with the stove. You would be consuming the oxygen and producing CO2.

Really sorry to hear that. I hope you got your power back.
Well, I came into work since I had to take care of a few things. I did not want to risk damaging the Z or getting stuck so I rented a non-descript Chevy FWD from Enterprise w/ full insurance.
Good thing I did because some of the roads were still a mess this morning.

Thanks for kind words. It was a local outage; affected about 1000 people. We made it through just fine. What I can't believe is there are people that still haven't had power restored.

I work for Verizon and we are REQUIRED to be at work. I drive one of those Bucket trucks you see currently stuck in the snow!! Funny, I barely make it to work in my Dodge Ram 4x4, only to be told to go out on the unplowed streets in a two wheel drive, unbalanced, dual rear wheeled, 14,000 lbs SLED!!!! To INSTALL FIOS in your home!! I can understand repairing damaged lines and maintnance due to the snow. I do not understand making sure you have the golf channel?

Hey Steve, I saw an anti-FIOS commercial today (Cable or satelite, I guess). These installers were tearing up a guys yard and running wires all over his house... funny stuff.

I think I saw you in one of the scenes.

Stay warm.

My son does the same thing in the Clinton/Waldorf area. I used to work for Verizon, too, and remember being told our ID cards allowed us to be on the road when the Governor said emergency vehicles only. We were so lucky!

Here's the scene Thursday morning:

BTW, the car buried in the snow is NOT a ZR-1.

Funny that you should say that!

On Friday, Roger and I had just finished clearing the snow from in front of that garage and were sitting on stools eating a snack. I heard a pop and a rumble and yelled: "RUN". We ran to the alley with snow at our heels. All of the snow came off that roof in one slide. It buried the two stools we had been sitting on and completely filled the area we had just cleared to about 18" deep. We were not hurt, but we had to start all over and we had to get creative to find places to put all that snow.

WOW Jim!!! At least I was no where close when my tree came crashing down. Glad I got up on a ladder yesterday and scrapped the first three feet of snow off.

So I'm guessing there is not WAZOO gathering this weekend in Westminster?
