Re: Engine Build Sheet
I reached out to the listserv and a gentleman named Tom was kind enough to share his knowledge about this. He was at the thunder event and sure enough they did give out build sheets for the engines. The sheet they were given has the engine number, the year of the engine, the build date, the crank serial# the cylinder case #, piston grade among other things. It's super cool to see that these exist and now I need to track mine down somehow.
edit: it seems the ncm has them and the dyno sheets |
Re: Engine Build Sheet
You can still order your BUILD SHEET (and window sticker) from the NCM:
https://www.corvettemuseum.org/learn...ndow-stickers/ I got mine a few years ago, laminated (a copy) of them and display them at car shows. It's the dyno files that are stored at the NCM which we have been unsuccessful to acquire. THEY are the Holy Grail. We have had numerous discussions about getting the sheets. GM is afraid that a specific engine might not be up to specs and GM might be sued. Why won't GM release them when that GM doesn't even exist anymore (Bankrupcy, new company.) GM lawyers are still scared. So still, no luck. Ted Feder ZR-1 Net Registry Board Forum Admin |
Re: Engine Build Sheet
The engine build sheets are probably in cardboard boxes stored next to the cardboard boxes that contain the dyno sheets on a shelf in the back room of the library at the NCM and equally unobtainable?
